PROPOSE A PROGRAM

Scientific Programs are an integral part of research at Nordita. The international scientific community is invited to propose future programs.

Guidelines for proposals

A successful proposal for a scientific program at Nordita should include:

  • A clearly motivated scientific case, spelling out the benefits for the Nordic and international research community. This part of the proposal should not exceed two pages.
  • A list of scientists from the international community and from the Nordic countries, who are willing to participate in the program. Applications for stays of less than two weeks are discouraged.
  • A budget outline that should not exceed SEK 250 000 (€ 24 500) per month of program, excluding accommodation for program participants in Stockholm, which is provided.

The coordinators of a Nordita scientific program should preferrably include scientists from at least one Nordic academic institution. Program topics can range beyond the traditional borders of theoretical physics and scientists in related areas of the natural sciences are encouraged to submit proposals.

Evaluation of proposals

The Nordita Board decides on scientific programs, following an external review of all program proposals.
