Marcus Stålhammar received his PhD in theoretical physics from Stockholm University in 2022, under the supervision of Prof. Emil J. Bergholtz. He joined Nordita as a fellow in September 2021.
His main (scientific) interest is how mathematical phenomena manifest in physical settings, primarily in non-Hermitian physics, but can also include topics ranging condensed matter physics to black holes. A common theme throughout his works is topology, and how this mathematical framework can be used in theoretical physics.
