The nature of turbulence in OMC1 at the scale of star formation: observations and simulations

by M. Gustafsson, A. Brandenburg, J. L. Lemaire, & D. Field

  • The structure functions of OMC1 are computed.
  • Using extended self-similarity, power laws are recovered at scales down to 160AU.
  • Deviations from supersonic turbulence simulations are due to preferentially observing the shocked gas.
