Quantum field theory for condensed matter FK8018

May 20th

Since this course has been a bit different from previous years, and because the syllabus on the SU website does not contain many details, I have written a list of the topics that we have covered and which may come up on the exam. You can download it from this link.

May 6th

The third exercise sheet was emailed out today. If you didn't get it then please let me know. The question to be handed in for assessment is question 3. The deadline is Friday May 20th. This time, that date really is the deadline!

May 4th

I can confirm that the exam has been moved to June 7th. Details about the time and location to follow.

April 24th

I am proposing to move the exam from Friday June 10th to Tuesday June 7th. If this is a problem for you then please let me know as soon as possible.

April 24th

The second exercise sheet has been emailed out. If you did not get it, you can download it from this link. The question to be handed in for assessment is number 5, and the deadline is Wednesday June 4th.

April 13th:

Update on the due date for the first exercise. Since the problems class is on Thursday, you can hand your solution to question 11 in either on Friday, or some time next week if you prefer. You can either email me an electronic copy, or hand me a paper answer on Friday 15th or Wednesday 20th. If you want to deliver it to Nordita you can do that too - just ring the doorbell to be let in.

April 8th:

The first exercise set has been emailed to everyone who gave me their address. If you didn't receive it, please let me know so that I can add you to the list. The pdf of the exercises is here.

March 25th:

This will be updated with links to notes and extra information as it becomes available.

Unless stated, all classes are in FB41.
